Homemade Margherita Pizza

Classic pizza with tomato, fresh basil, and mozzarella.

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°F.
  2. Roll out dough; place on baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Spread tomato sauce; top with cheese and basil.
  4. Drizzle olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese melted.
  • Add sliced tomatoes or mushrooms.
  • Brush crust with garlic butter before baking.
