Homemade Margherita Pizza
Classic pizza with tomato, fresh basil, and mozzarella.
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°F.
- Roll out dough; place on baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread tomato sauce; top with cheese and basil.
- Drizzle olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese melted.
- Add sliced tomatoes or mushrooms.
- Brush crust with garlic butter before baking.
